No, Doctors Don't Hate 'Obamacare'

The article points out that all of these groups endorsed Obama’s Affordable Care Act (even back when it had the public option- which they preferred!).

  • American Medical Association (Represents 240,000 Doctors)
  • The American College of Physicians (Reps 126,000 Doctors)
  • The American Academy of Family Physicians (Reps 94,000 Doctors)
  • The American College of Surgeons (Reps 76,000 Doctors)
  • The American Academy of Pediatrics (Reps 60,000 Doctors)
  • The American Congress of Obstetricians/Gynecologists (Reps 52,000 Doctors)
  • The American Society of Anesthesiologists (Reps 43,000 Doctors)
  • The American Osteopathic Association (Reps 40,000 Doctors)
  • The American Psychiatric Association (Reps 38,000 Doctors)
  • The American College of Cardiology (Reps 37,000 Doctors)

These groups represent hundreds of thousands of physicians across a wide range of medical sub-specialties.

Woohoo! Ammo for my Obamacare argument. That’s a weapon long exhausted, I never really know what to say about it.

Anyone else think that ‘Obamacare’ is a really fucking shitty name for healthcare?
