archisplosion-deactivated201203 asked: I saw a post like last week that showed the amount of debt accrued during Obama's presidency and it was greater than a whole bunch of other presidents combined, but then you (or it may have been somebody else) tore the shit out of it explaining why the base number doesn't actually tell you anything and what really has to be taken into consideration. I can't find it, but I want it. Please help.
I posted a small rebuttal that pointed out the flaws, but I can’t find it either.
Basically, they are using nominal dollars instead of real dollars. That means they are not considering inflation in their comparisons.
However, even if you adjust the debt increases for inflation and/or use a ratio of debt to GDP, Obama has still increased the debt tremendously.
If I find that post, I’ll let you know.
