Holy shit you guys

First off, thank you so incredibly much for all of your support, I mean it. Like, getting home, showering, and logging into Tumblr and seeing how many people sent kind regards [and several threatening lol~] and messages of solidarity was absolutely overwhelming.

I am absolutely pooped right now, so I can’t exactly go into the whole story just yet, but I want to make a few things clear-

I was detained for six hours by the IDF crossing the Jisir

Not a big deal in and of itself, as it’s happened before

I was NOT detained because of my tumblr, after about 3 hours they took me into a room, began asking me questions, and half-way through those questions began asking about my tumblr and Facebook activity.

So basically, I was detained due to “suspicions” of theirs that I’ll get into later, and I’m going to assume that after running my passports and such, made the connection to tumblr and brought that up as well.

They attempted to get me to give them access to my account, and insisted on it quite heavily, but obviously I did not give it to them

I wasn’t harmed in any way, as some of you seemed to have thought in the messages I received

It’s not unusual that they detain people at the crossing, but the thing here was the fact that they brought up my tumblr, which is kind of really freaky.

Being the paranoid person I am, I’m making a complete backup of this blog in order for me to host it elsewhere should it come under attack as many others already have.

Basically, I was standing in line waiting to go through the first main Israeli checkpoint, and was approached by security who walked up, flashed his ID, took my phone and passport, and grabbed me by the arm and led me into a room where I was held for the whole time.

I managed to sneak a video of the guard approaching me and taking me away, but it’s short and is literally only of him walking up, and you can here him say “Security okay? Come.” before he grabs the phone away from me.

Besides that video, which I recorded through a different method that instantly hides the video on my phone and encrypts it, he went through and deleted every photo and video I had on my phone. I had already backed up all my personal photos and videos, but all videos I had taken during my stay in Palestine of the various checkpoints, soldiers, and outposts, are gone.

I’ll be posting exactly what happened during those 6 hours where I was chained [not literally, just my left arm lol~] to a table in their little cell, and the ridiculous questions I was asked, probably sometime tomorrow.

So, uh, yeah.

Once again thank you for your solidarity, and the fact that they went so out of their way to pester me about my own personal blog here, which Isn’t really that big, means that we’re all doing something right.
