One Chart Says a lot About the OP

barticles:

Dan Mitchell:

Chile used to be the poorest of the three countries and now it is comparatively rich. Argentina has enjoyed a bit of growth. Venezuela, by contrast, used to be the richest of the three nations but has stagnated and now is in last place. …

Chile has reduced the burden of government a lot in the past three decades, Argentina has reduced the burden of government a little, and Venezuela has gone in the wrong direction and increased the burden of government.

The only thing this chart shows is illiteracy

(That being said, fuck all forms of capitalism)

And to clarify about Chile. You know what happened in Chile to cause this ‘economic boom? American installed a dictator named Pinochet in 1973, who stayed in power for a god damn long time, and he kept changing his mind about economic policy. He was a US puppet. He instituted “less government regulation” in about 1985, about 5 years before leaving office.

Let’s assume that correlation implies causation for a second (which it doesn’t):

If you want the US installing puppet dictators in random countries to further the economy, then fuck you.
